Artificial Turf surfaces are from 15-70mm deep and filled with sand to help with performance, drainage, and keeps the surface firm. This depth in the turf allows dirt, debris and other organic matter to be washed or blown in. Especially in wet or windy conditions. These conditions, combined with the necessary sand in-fill, create the perfect environment for moss and weeds to grow.
You may have heard the myth that artificial turf services require little to no attention. Although you will no longer be required to mow your lawn, it's important to consider an on-going maintenance plan to keep your surface tidy and vibrant.

Through analysing hundreds of courts, we've established that majority of residential courts suffer growth from organic matter due to little use and surrounding areas such as high buildings, bushes and trees. On the other hand, sports club and school sports areas suffer growth in low traffic areas around such as the edges and under the nets.
